Postdoc Position in Vibrational Spectroscopy at the University of Oregon, Eugene, OR, USA

The Brozek Lab (https://brozeklab.uoregon.edu) at the University of Oregon (UO), Eugene, OR, USA has an open postdoctoral position to use vibrational sum frequency scattering spectroscopy (VSFSS) to study the interface of porous nanocrystals. This position will utilize equipment in the Shared Laser Facility at UO (https://chemistry.uoregon.edu/research/shared/), specifically an 80 fs Ti:Sappphire 1 kHZ pumped laser system, a tunable broadband OPA, and a home-built sum frequency scattering optical table.

The ideal candidate has a PhD in chemistry or a related field, experience with non-linear, ultrafast optics, and the passion to embark in a groundbreaking research direction. We encourage all applicants with experience in vibrational or electronic spectroscopy to apply, and especially welcome candidates with prior research experience in metal nanoparticles or colloids.

UO, and the city of Eugene, is an exciting place to live, with beach and mountain access only an hour’s drive away. The UO is dedicated to building and supporting a culturally diverse community committed to research, teaching, and scholarship. Applications from groups underrepresented in STEM are strongly encouraged.

To apply, send an email describing your interests and an accompanying CV to Professor Brozek:
