Assistant Professor position in Physics – Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut, USA

The physics department at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, USA is conducting a tenure-track search for a faculty member in experimental applied physics.  The specific field is open, subject to the interests of the candidate and the ability of the candidate to teach physics courses.  The position might therefore be of interest to members of the MDN community.  Research fields that intersect with climate science or sustainability studies would be especially appropriate.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in physics or a closely allied field and be prepared to teach physics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Teaching experience is desirable.  Wesleyan University offers the unusual opportunity to thrive within a Ph.D.-granting department while working at a leading liberal-arts university.  We welcome in particular applicants who can connect with existing research on campus and advance our diversity goals.

We invite our colleagues to share this announcement with potential candidates.  Those interested may view the full job ad at
