A postdoctoral position is available to work in Adi Natan group at the Stanford PULSE Institute, an independent laboratory of Stanford University and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.
Our new project aims to develop methods and study structural dynamics at solid-liquid interfaces using lab-based ultrafast optical techniques, ultrathin jets, synchrotrons, and X-ray free electron lasers. The successful candidate is expected to communicate the results in papers and conference presentations.
We are looking for a passionate researcher who is highly motivated to succeed in a cutting edge challenging scientific front, with the commitment to work both independently and in a collaborative interdisciplinary research environment.
We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
• Education: A recent or soon-to-be completed Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, materials, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in one of the following: surface X-ray techniques, X-ray scattering, X-ray optics and instrumentation, ultrafast optics, ultrafast molecular physics\chemistry.
• Strong background in data analysis \ algorithm development and experiment design.
The start date is negotiable, and the position carries an initial one-year term (renewable to a maximum of two years), with competitive salary and benefits according to Stanford guidelines.
