he Institute of Physical Chemistry in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Kiel University (North Germany, Baltic Sea port city, 27.000 students) invites applicants for a W3 (full) Professorship in Physical Chemistry. The application deadline is the 15th April 2024.
They are looking for an internationally recognized scientist with outstanding research achievements in a current field of physical chemistry, in particular the study of the properties and dynamics of nanosystems, surfaces or condensed matter, e.g. controlled chemical transformations, energy conversion and storage, photo- and electrocatalysis, but other areas are also explicitly possible. Sound experience in the application or development of modern spectroscopic, microscopic, electrochemical or mass spectrometric methods is required. The professorship shall complement the existing expertise at the Institute in a meaningful way and significantly contribute to the focus areas of the Chemistry Department “Functional Materials” or “Energy”.
