Dear Colleagues,
We have openings for four postdoctoral positions in the groups of Professor Christine Isborn (Chemistry), Harish Bhat (Applied Math), and Henrik R. Larsson (Chemistry and Physics) at the University of California, Merced:
– Three Postdoctoral Positions in Theoretical Chemistry/Applied Mathematics
These positions are about the project «Moving Electrons through Space and Time: Enabling the Quantum Dynamics of Chirality-Induced Spin Selection (CISS) Through Novel and Scalable Computational Methods».
The project will involve using and developing real-time electron dynamics methods based on TD-DFT, DFT inversion, and TD-DMRG/tensor network states to understand the CISS effect.
For more details, please see https://aprecruit.ucmerced.edu/JPF02034
– One Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Attochemistry/Physics
This position is about simulating correlated attosecond ionization dynamics using TD-DMRG and related tensor network methods, and to develop new methods related to the DMRG. Additional projects involve nonadiabatic dynamics using tensor network methods such as ML-MCTDH.
