We are delighted to announce LINX 2026 – From UV to X-ray Spectroscopy in Liquids and Soft Matter: Linear and Nonlinear Interactions workshop, taking place 5–7 May 2026 at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, Germany.
LINX 2026 will bring together a vibrant community of leading experts and emerging researchers to explore the frontiers of spectroscopy in liquids and soft matter. This year’s program offers a rich scientific landscape: from advanced liquid-jet delivery techniques to linear and nonlinear X-ray/optical spectroscopies (XAS, RIXS, PES, SHG, SFG), transient absorption and ultrafast dynamics, and cutting-edge high-harmonic generation in liquids. These sessions will be complemented by lively round-table discussions, an interactive poster session, and a dedicated communication and inclusiveness event aimed at strengthening our scientific community by Frauke Logermann.
Aligned with the COST Action CA22148 – NEXT, LINX 2026 emphasizes the powerful interplay between experiment and theory, the growing synergy between HHG and XFEL sources, and the continued development of a collaborative and inclusive European research network.
We are honored to host a distinguished lineup of invited speakers, including: Jon Marangos, Majed Chergui, Nils Huse, Ewa Gorecka, Oliviero Cannelli, Andrea Cannizzo, Giacomo Prampolini, Joana Valerio, Bernd Winter, Nicolas Tancogne-Dejean, and Louis DiMauro.
