The Department of Chemistry of King’s College London has a 2.5‑year postdoctoral position available to work in an EU Pathfinder project under the supervision of Dr. Francisco Martin‑Martinez , in co-supervision with Dr. Micaela Matta.
The postdoctoral research associate will work at the intersection of polymer chemistry, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, and machine learning. The goal is to develop an in-silico framework to accelerate the discovery of novel Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) polymers, and to study the degradation of PHAs using MD simulations. The project will be conducted in close collaboration with experimental partners in the project consortium led by AINIA research centre in Spain.
