Closing Date: 21 March 2018
Interview Date: 04 April 2018
An EPSRC-funded postdoctoral research position is available to carry out
computational studies of new hybrid perovskite halides for solar cells
within the energy materials group of Professor Saiful Islam at the
University of Bath.
The research project will apply advanced computational techniques (based on
DFT) in the study of defects, surfaces and stability of metal halide
perovskites. This work will link up with experimental synthesis, structural
and solar cell studies within the groups of Prof Brian Saunders (Manchester)
and Dr Saif Haque (Imperial College London), and is part of a new consortium
on ‘Towards Stable and Scalable Perovskite Solar Cells’.
Previous experience in computational materials science and a track record of
peer-reviewed publications are essential. This post is available from 1st
May 2018 or shortly thereafter for up to 36 months.
