School of Chemistry
£41,212 to £47,722 per annum
The School of Chemistry celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2014 and today stands as a mature and dynamic research-intensive department with a long and distinguished tradition of high quality research. We have an opportunity within the Physical Chemistry-Chemical Physics group for an individual to develop an independent research and teaching role.
This is a new indefinite appointment to the School of Chemistry and represents an opportunity to develop an advanced experimental research program in ultrafast spectroscopy, and to strengthen the overall research and teaching of Physical Chemistry-Chemical Physics within the School.
This is an excellent opportunity to establish your own vigorous research group in ultrafast spectroscopy while contributing enthusiastically to teaching and administration. You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics or other relevant discipline along with experience of developing and managing ultrafast laser experiments. You will also have the ability to generate world class research and high impact publications and be able to demonstrable teaching and lecturing skills suitable for undergraduate students.
The post is available on a full time, indefinite basis from 3 September 2018.
Our School aims to provide the facilities and working environment that allows all staff and students to contribute, flourish and excel. The UEA campus has a range of facilities to promote family-friendly working and many other aspects of the University contribute to the overall quality of life and work for our staff at UEA. We particularly welcome applications from suitably qualified female academics as they are currently under-represented in senior positions within the School.
