A postdoctoral position in theoretical physical chemistry is available in the group of Prof. Spiridoula Matsika in the Department of Chemistry at Temple University, Philadelphia, effective immediately. The appointment is initially for one year with a possible extension of two or more years.
Possible projects include: (i) interaction of molecules with strong and weak field lasers, (ii) non-adiabatic dynamics in molecules and biological systems, (iii) developing methods for metastable states and electronic resonances. Additional information about the research can be found at the group website http://astro.temple.edu/~smatsika.
Highly motivated candidates with a strong background in theoretical chemistry, physics or related fields are encouraged to apply. Expertise needed include experience in scientific programming, ab initio electronic structure methods and/or molecular dynamics.
Interested candidates should send a CV and arrange for three recommendation letters to be sent directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to contact me for further details.
