A NSF-funded postdoctoral fellow position is available in developing chirped pulse, Fourier transform microwave (CP-FTMW) spectroscopy at Missouri S&T. This position will involve constructing and automating a CP-FTMW instrument and coupling exotic (laser ablation, dc discharge, and heated) sources to this new build. Development of the sourcing techniques will also be undertaken. Experience with building and/or maintaining spectrometers, especially microwave spectrometers, is required. Experience with any programming (especially PYTHON), CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), and/or the aforementioned sourcing techniques is a plus. Successful applicants will begin as soon as possible.
