A post-doctoral position in attosecond science is open at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a collaborative project between Stephen Leone and Daniel Neumark. In this experiment, attosecond four-wave mixing is used to elucidate the quantum pathways that are accessed by excitation of an atom or molecule with an ultrafast soft x-ray pulse, as described in Cheng et al, Faraday Discussions 228, 537 (2021). Expertise in molecular/chemical physics and ultrafast lasers is highly desirable, as is a strong track record of scientific accomplishment and initiative. Applications from women and underrepresented groups are particularly welcome. We aim to fill this position before the end of 2022.
