Faculty of Chemistry at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, invites applications for assistant professor positions in the general field of computational chemistry, quantum chemistry, theoretical spectroscopy, materials modeling. The candidate’s research profile should complement and connect with the existing expertise of the Molecular Modeling Group in the Department of Chemistry of Materials, Adsorption and Catalysis. In particular, we seek candidates with expertise in the following research areas:
• computational photophysics and photochemistry;
• theoretical modeling of excited states of fluorophores in condensed phases;
• ab-initio and non-adiabatic excited-state molecular dynamics;
• solid-state molecular modeling;
• development of quantum chemistry methods;
• machine learning approaches in photophysics, photochemistry and/or material science;
• multiscale materials modeling.
However, we will be happy to consider all applications where the researcher complements the
competencies of our group and meets high scientific standards
The position is limited to 33 months and may be extended permanently after a positive evaluation.
