Postdoc Position in time resolved photoelectron spectroscopy at the University of Southampton

Research Associate (Postdoc) Position Available in the Minns Research Group

We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with experience in ultrafast science. You should have (or shortly be about to obtain) a PhD in Chemistry or Physics. Familiarity with ultrafast lasers, operation of ion detection systems (TOF or VMI), spectroscopy and chemical dynamics would be advantageous.

Through the project you will develop time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy capabilities in Southampton. The project will utilise UV probes of chemical dynamics in our lab in Southampton and XUV probes through collaboration with the Artemis Facility in the UK and the ELI-Beamlines facility in the Czech Republic. You will be responsible for leading advanced photoelectron spectroscopy experiment as part of a collaborative team. You will coordinate the analysis of the data and work with our theoretical collaborators (Adam Kirrander, Oxford, Zdenek Masin, Prague) on the interpretation.

Details of the job and application process can be found at https://jobs.soton.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?ref=2247423EB and any informal enquiries can be directed to me at r.s.minns@soton.ac.uk.
