Postdoctoral Research Associate post available in the Mackenzie group, Oxford University.
A two-year postdoc position is available immediately in the Mackenzie group in the Department of Chemistry, University of Oxford.
We are looking for a motivated person interested in reactive collisions of a metal clusters. Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Physics, or a related subject area, (or be close to completion). The research will involve reactive scattering experiments performed on model clusters in the gas-phase to uncover underlying reaction mechanisms and key active sites. Any experience in cluster science, laser spectroscopy, reaction dynamics and quantum-chemical calculations will be an advantage.
This project is funded as part of the EPSRC Programme Grant «New Directions in Molecular Scattering» which involves groups from Oxford and Heriot-Watt Universities providing ample scope for collaboration with groups with related research interests.
Further details of the job and how to apply can be found here and I would be happy to receive informal enquiries directly at stuart.mackenzie@chem.ox.ac.uk. The closing date for applications is May 12th 2023.
