Young Scientist Prize 2025 – European Physical Society

Nominations are being sought for the Young Scientist Prize 2025 awarded by the Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Division (AMOPD) of the European Physical Society (EPS).

Open call for nominations until November 15th, 2024.

The prize consists of a medal, a cheque in the amount of 1,500 €, an invitation to write a «colloquium» article for EPJD, and an invited talk at the triannually organized European Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics (ECAMP), where the prize is awarded. ECAMP 2025 will take place at Innsbruck (Austria).

NOMINATIONS should be sent to the AMOPD Chair, alicia.palacios@uam.es, with the subject «YSP Nomination» and including:
   – A letter (no more than 1,000 words) summarizing the nominee´s achievements and identifying the specific work to be recognized.
   – A list of all publications
   – A brief biographical sketch (no more than 2 pages).

The nominee is expected to have made original and outstanding contributions to the field of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics. The leading personal contribution of the nominee to the achievements must be clearly identifiable when the work was performed in collaboration. Nominees for the prize should have, as of January 1, 2025, a maximum of 8 years of research experience following the PhD (excluding career interruptions such as maternal leave or mandatory military service).
