One Postdoctoral position is available in the theory group of Professor Pengfei Huo at the University of Rochester (http://www.sas.rochester.edu/chm/people/faculty/huo-pengfei/index.html). Our group is currently developing new quantum dynamics approaches that can accurately describe electronic non-adiabatic transitions and nuclear quantum effects. We are particularly interested in investigating new chemical reactivities enabled by intrinsically quantum mechanical behavior. The current open position focuses on developing new quantum dynamics approaches to investigate photoinduced chemical reactions, in particularly, photoinduced proton-coupled electron transfer reactions, and is closely related to the new path-integral approaches and on-the-fly simulation techniques we have developed in our group. Candidates with a strong background in the area of quantum dynamics, path-integral approaches, open quantum systems, light-matter interactions, and excited state on-the-fly simulations are particularly encouraged to apply.
