As part of an exciting new partnership between University of Nottingham, University of Strathclyde and GSK, we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate/Fellow in Computational Chemistry at the University of Nottingham.
The successful candidate will work in the research group of Professor Jonathan Hirst to improve the accuracy of computational predictions of
protein-ligand binding affinity utilising new advances in machine learning. They will develop algorithms tailored to and embedded within specific medicinal chemistry programmes to design drug-like molecules, which will be synthesized and assayed by project partners. The project with involve close collaboration with medicinal chemists at Nottingham (Dr Mike Stocks), Strathclyde (Dr Craig Jamieson) and GSK.
