The Rui Sun research group at the Department of Chemistry, the University of Hawai’i at Manoa (http://www2.hawaii.edu/~ruisun/index.html), invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in the field of computational chemistry to investigate the decomposition mechanisms of energetic molecules and the hypergolic processes of ionic liquids. The work involves close collaboration with experiments supervised by Dr. Ralf Kaiser (www.uhmreactiondynamics.org).
Successful applicants should have a strong background in one or more of the following: quantum chemistry, nonadiabatic dynamics, molecular dynamics, statistical mechanics. Solid communication skills in English (written, oral) and a documented publication record are required.
