A NSF-funded postdoctoral fellow position in developing chirped pulse, Fourier transform microwave (CP-FTMW) spectroscopy is available at Missouri S&T. This position will involve constructing and automating a CP-FTMW instrument and coupling exotic (laser ablation, dc discharge, and heated) sources to this new build. Development of the sourcing techniques will also be undertaken. Experience with any programming (especially PYTHON), CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), and/or the aforementioned sourcing techniques is a plus. Successful applicants will begin as soon as possible. Please contact Smitty Grubbs directly at grubbsg@mst.edu to inquire.
